This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how wingmawo, operated by affinity grid private limited ("we", "us", or "our"), collects, processes, uses, stores, discloses, and protects the personal data of users ("you", "your", or "user") in connection with the Wingmawo landing page, waitlist registration, and related promotional or communication services (collectively, the "Services").

1. Data Controller

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, Wingmawo is operated by affinity grid private limited, which determines how your personal data is collected and processed.

2. Categories of Personal Data Collected

A. Information You Provide Directly

• Contact Information — your name, email address, and optionally, your phone number, provided when you join the waitlist or request updates.
• Preferences and Subscription Data — your preferences for receiving marketing communications, offers, and launch announcements.
• Feedback and Correspondence — any information you provide when communicating with us (via email, forms, surveys, or feedback tools).

B. Information Collected Automatically

• Browser type, device identifiers, and operating system
• IP address, time zone, and geographic region (approximate)
• Access logs (pages visited, referring URLs, duration of visit)

3. Purpose and Use of Personal Data

We collect and process your personal data solely for lawful and legitimate business purposes, which include:

• Waitlist Fulfilment: To register and manage your participation in the Wingmawo pre-launch waitlist.
• Marketing Communications: To send you promotional content, offers, newsletters, and updates about the Wingmawo app, subject to your explicit consent.
• Website Functionality & Analytics: To monitor and enhance user experience, measure engagement, detect site issues, and optimize performance.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Depending on your jurisdiction, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:

• Consent: When you voluntarily provide personal data (for example, to join the waitlist or receive updates).

• Waitlist and marketing data: retained until the Wingmawo app launches and for a reasonable post-launch period (or until you withdraw consent).

• Anonymized or aggregated data: may be retained indefinitely for analytics, statistical, or internal research.

When the retention period expires, data is securely deleted or anonymized using appropriate methods.

7. Account Deletion

If you feel Wingmawo is no longer the right space for you, you can permanently delete your account at any time. We want the process to be clear, respectful, and fully in your control — and we also want you to understand exactly what happens when you delete your profile.

How to delete your account

You can delete your account directly inside the app:

1. Open the app and go to Settings > Account > Delete Account
2. Review the information shown on the screen
3. Tap Continue
4. Confirm your identity if prompted
5. Select Permanently delete my account

Once confirmed:

• Your profile is immediately deactivated
• You will no longer appear in matches, searches, or recommendations
• Other users won't be able to view your profile or message you

Your data is then queued for permanent deletion from our active systems. Depending on system load and legal requirements, this process may take a short period of time, but your account will not be visible once you confirm deletion.

What will be deleted

When you request deletion, the following information is permanently removed and cannot be restored:

• Your full profile: photos, prompts, bio, preferences, and interests
• All matches, likes, passes, and other user interactions
• Chat history and messages you've sent or received
• Device identifiers and app activity tied to your account (unless needed for legal or safety reasons)

Once deletion is complete, none of this content can be recovered.

What may still be retained

For safety, compliance, and fraud-prevention reasons, we may keep certain limited records even after your account is deleted. Common examples include:

• Payment and subscription records we are required to keep for tax and audit purposes
• Fraud, safety, or abuse flags, if your account was involved in activity that could impact the safety of the community
• Information required by law, such as data related to disputes, law enforcement requests, or platform misuse

This information is never used for advertising or personalization and is stored only as long as necessary.

Important things to understand

• Deletion is permanent. If you come back later, you'll need to create a brand-new account.
• Uninstalling the app does NOT delete your account. You must complete the in-app deletion steps.
• Subscriptions do not cancel automatically. If you subscribed through any platform, you need to cancel your subscription in your device's subscription settings to stop future charges.
• If you used Google, or another login provider, deleting your Wingmawo account does not affect your external login — only your Wingmawo data is removed.

Your privacy and safety matter

Wingmawo is a dating app, and protecting user safety is a core part of our responsibility. When you delete your account:

• We prioritize deleting or anonymizing personal data that is no longer needed
• We retain only what is necessary to prevent fraud, enforce platform safety, and comply with the law
• If your region provides specific privacy rights (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), those rights continue to apply — including the ability to request access or export your data before deletion

Need help deleting your account?

If you can't access your profile, or the in-app deletion process isn't working, you can request deletion manually.

8. Your Rights Under Applicable Laws

Depending on applicable data protection laws (DPDPA/GDPR), you may have the following rights:

• Right of Access: Obtain confirmation of whether we hold personal data about you and receive a copy of such data.
• Right to Rectification: Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
• Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention obligations.
• Right to Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent for processing at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.
• Right to Restrict or Object to Processing: Request that processing be limited or object to specific uses (e.g., direct marketing).
• Right to Data Portability: Receive your data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.
• Right to Lodge a Complaint: File a complaint before the Data Protection Board of India or relevant supervisory authority.
